How long are sessions? How long will I work with a registered dietitian?
Your initial session will be 60-90 minutes, depending on your insurance provider.
Follow-up sessions are typically held weekly or biweekly at first, for 30-60 minutes. We set small sustainable goals that can be built upon week after week. Eventually, as you start to feel more confident, we can start to move to monthly or quarterly.
Aubrey’s goal as a registered dietitian is to give you the tools to feel confident and in charge of your nutrition journey. Once you “graduate,” we’ll move to annual sessions to check in and catch up on your progress.
-
Is a registered dietitian a nutritionist?
Yes! All dietitians are nutritionists, however, not all nutritionists are dietitians. The term “nutritionist” is not a protected title, and can be used by anyone.
-
Will sessions be held in person or via telehealth?
Via telehealth! We will use a platform called Healthie to have our video calls, in which you can also journal and track your individual goals.
